Northern Vibes – Streetgolf in Bückeburg GER.
Local Play, Real Spirit - Talk with the Organizer: Janek Schneeberg
Not every great event needs a huge trophy or a big crowd. Sometimes, it’s just about gathering the crew, walking the streets, and letting the game do the talking. Saturday 21st. of June, Bückeburg hosted a raw and real streetgolf event - no big production, just pure offgolf energy. We asked the organizer to give us a quick recap of how it went down.
How did it go overall?
Janek: ”I am pleased. Since i did everything on my own, there have been growing pains. But overall - it was a blast.”
Any standout moments or surprises?
Janek: “Yes, there was a newbie performing surprisingly well and notched one of the trophies. Those by the way are handmade out of club head shaved wood in mahagoni optics and topped with million year old wood pieces out of my passed grandpas collection.”
What did players think about the course? Any holes that sparked big reactions?
Janek: “Sure. There was the signature hole 18. Over water. No island. A tough one. The five was borderline difficult and the four, playing darts with waffle balls was great fun.”
The Podium
1st. Radomir Langr 69 • 2nd. Norman Dick 72 • 3rd. Marco Squarra 73
More chill or competitive vibe? More chill or more competitive?
Janek: “It was flaming hot, so everybody moreless tried to survive. But sure there has been some competitive fire since it was a qualification for the german team.”
Anything you’d do differently next time?
Janek: “I figured nothing is given. The estimated timeable was to optimistic. And i would for sure minimize the outsourcing of task since this is a source of little mistakes out of my control. And the notion, every great plan can be compromised by negative surprises. Nonetheless the trophy will return in one form or another.”
